How to analyze your cricketers

As a cricket coach, it is relatively easy to think of new exercises to get players to practice skills. It is easy get your players offensive actively in the sessions of practical exercises to get your players, but to you must be able to analyze.

Analysis, is probably the most difficult to be a coach. You want to be able to provide, each player, importantly, to help improve intelligence. How to do without overloading the player with too much information is when you know that you do a good job as coach.

Firstly, you must be able to watch a player and observe, without feedback too. Why, I hear you ask? Although you have to find the thing that, if changed, would benefit from other parts of the game. How many times has a coach intervened to correct a problem, to then create another. If you change one thing can have a negative effect on other parts of the game.

Keep it simple, however. Glenn McGrath said "the most complex thing is cricket keeps simple." Coaches are full of technical things that might help a player, but most players do not have the ability of the brain to embrace the information. Therefore, keep it simple, providing information in the simplest terms. The players want solutions and no complications.

Also, we have to work on the strengths of the players. Focusing only on a weak players will be the same in the spirit of a player. Tell them if they do something good, gain their trust. When you have their trust, they are more likely to listen to any intervention.

Try to be patient with any player. They cannot be developed enough, physically or mentally, to improve rapidly. Give of their time, they will get there, but not if put you too much pressure on them. Be realistic about where a player is in their stage of development.

Finally, the most important piece of advice for players and coaches. Cricket coach should try to get out of the habit of saying the player what is the problem with their gambling. Instead of this, a better form of coaching is to get the player to be aware of the problem. It is therefore the role of coaches to sensitize the views of their current performance and areas where they need to improve. Too many coaches are where they should be educators instructors. Response remembered, if the response comes the player. Careful questioning by the coach should lead to empowerment player.

Cricket coaches are improving, particularly as the players, but by improving your skills of observation and analysis, you will improve faster than most.
